About Wildhearts

Hello from Tracy Graham!

I am an Ofsted registered childminder who has been working with children for over 10 years, and developed the Wildhearts approach in September 2020.

Whilst we spend many of our days at the beach or in the woods, we are a home-based childcare business where we provide children with the space to grow and learn at a pace that suits them.  Please take a look at the videos below to see what the home and garden environment look like.

I am a Mum to two children aged 16 and 13, and came to Early Years teaching as a way of being present in their childhood whilst still working.  I qualified as a civil engineer and had a management career within the construction industry before 2012, but demand for working away from home meant I needed a career change!

I hold all necessary statutory registrations for a home-based Childminder – Ofsted registration (number EY442505), enhanced DBS checks for myself, husband and eldest child, Paediatric First Aid certificate, Data Protection, Food Hygiene registration with South Gloucestershire Council and my car insurance covers business use.  I am qualified to Early Years Professional Status, graded as ‘Good’ provider by Ofsted and ensure that I reflect and update my knowledge regularly.

I am a member of the Forest Childcare Association which commits to child-initiated and adult-led activities outdoors every week, enhanced by an Outdoor Learning qualification in 2019.  I believe that outdoor learning should be built into a child’s daily routine and to enable this I have equipped my garden as a learning environment and undertake trips to forests, woods, rivers and beaches whenever possible.
